Flinders Christian Community College is seeking a passionate and caring individual to join their team as a Classroom Aide in the Joshua Centre, supporting personalised, interest-driven, and strengths-based learning for autistic learners.

The successful candidate will have experience working with autistic learners and be passionate about supporting differentiated curriculum that meets varying learning styles. They will assist and support the classroom teacher, working under their direction, and help build an effective learning environment.

The Joshua Centre opened in 2022 and is a special purpose built educational facility for autistic students. It provides a differentiated learning program and universally designed environment, catering to differing sensory profiles.

We seek to see autistic students thrive, be bold and courageous in their learning, social connection and wellbeing, in order to live a full and purposeful life.

Job Requirements
  • Experience working with autistic learners
  • Passion for supporting personalised, interest-driven, and strengths-based learning
  • Ability to work under the direction of a classroom teacher
  • Capacity to assist and support the development of a differentiated curriculum
