Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Group Coordinator to process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine guest reservation needs, select appropriate room types, and verify availability of room types and rates.
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
  • Accommodate and document special requests.
  • Answer questions about property facilities and room accommodations.
  • Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
  • Input and access data in the reservation system.
  • Resolve challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Maintain accuracy of room blocks and reservations.
  • Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms, and keep organized files of all groups.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as hospitality or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and software systems a plus.
