Lecturer in One Health Position Description

As a key contributor to the teaching and research effort of the School of Veterinary Medicine, you will leverage your expertise in One Health, Veterinary Public Health, and/or Veterinary Epidemiology to drive academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will be expected to develop scholarly research outputs and professional activities relevant to One Health, thereby enhancing the university's reputation as a leader in veterinary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to research, individually and as a member of a team, and produce quality publications.
  • Teach, mentor, and inspire undergraduate, postgraduate, and HDR students through lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical and studio sessions, and assessments.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning methods that enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support to students at all levels of their academic journey.
  • Coordinate units and courses that align with the college's strategic objectives.
  • Supervise honours, Masters by Coursework, and HDR students, fostering their growth and development as emerging professionals.
  • Pursue opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange within the college, the university, and the broader academic community.
  • Participate in the University's Academic Contribution Development Review (ACDR) process.
