The Role

  • Providing personalized support to participants with mental, physical, and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Assisting with daily living activities, community support, and empowerment
  • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans and other established techniques
  • Collaborating closely with participants and their support networks
  • Engaging with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and support

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality support services to meet the diverse needs of participants
  • Building strong relationships with participants and their families
  • Working effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and best practices

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in disability support, aged care, or community services
  • At least 2+ years of experience working in disability support, including managing challenging behaviours
  • Firm understanding of de-escalation techniques
  • Availability and willingness to work night shifts
  • Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Covid-19 Vaccination, First Aid & CPR Certificate, valid Driver's License, and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
