Dynamic Estimating Professional


We are seeking a skilled Dynamic Estimating Professional to join our team at Simonds Homes, Australia's leading ASX listed residential builder.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely sales estimating relevant to the activities of Simonds Homes. This is a full-time opportunity based out of our Adelaide CBD head office.


About the Role:



  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders, variations and contracts within client agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain focus on client's needs, expectations and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate and consult with the sales, operations and construction team to help deliver exceptional customer service across all aspects of the home build.

This role involves three key components:



  2. Accurate Cost Estimation: Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations.
  3. Project Analysis: Analyse project documentation to determine if all elements are included.
  4. Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the process and identify potential areas of risk in the project.
  5. Tech Support: Offer technical support to team members and sales staff.
  6. Documentation Management: Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work.

About You:



  • You have residential building industry experience in sales estimating.
  • A tertiary/TAFE qualification in estimating would be highly advantageous.
  • You possess knowledge of National Construction Code, strong analytical skills and the capability to interpret technical drawings.
  • You can actively contribute and work collaboratively within a tight-knit team.
  • You have multi-tasking skills, flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work.
  • You have high attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve set targets and KPIs and demonstrate planning/organisational and time management skills.
