Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to join our dynamic team.

  • About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions using big data technologies, particularly within a Spark environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the business and fellow engineers to design and implement solutions.
  2. Develop expert-level core Python development skills, including hands-on coding with production-grade systems.
  3. Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices, modular code structuring, and automated testing for pipelines.
  4. Strong understanding of PySpark/ Spark technologies, distributed computing concepts and Spark performance tuning.
  5. Experience in financial domain development as a data engineer.

Key Requirements:

  • Expert level core Python development skills including hands-on coding with production-grade systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud big data implementations/tools such as AWS EMR, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, or equivalent.
  • Well-versed in Data Structures, complexity theory and CS fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills - capable of translating business requirements into performant data solutions.
