Design Development Specialist

This position involves creating detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs for products being manufactured. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of mechanical and structural engineering principles, as well as experience with CAD software like Autocad and Inventor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs for the products being manufactured either in-house or subcontracted.
  • Initiate the process of manufacturing BOM creation in the company's ERP system.
  • Create project drawings including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines.
  • Integrate 2D and 3D models from different equipment obtained from various suppliers and sources into the overall system using CAD and BIM tools.
  • Support the sales team with preliminary drawings for tenders.
  • Review drawings and material lists produced by external vendors and identify potential gaps with locally available materials or local standard compliance.
  • Collaborate to modify overseas drawings, designs and BOMs to close these gaps.
