The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia/Northern Territory is a leading provider of aeromedical and primary health care services to remote, rural, and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Flight Nurse in Adelaide. This role will involve working collaboratively with our Flight Nursing team to provide evidence-based and patient-centered care to patients transferring through the Adelaide Patient Transfer Facility (PTF).
Key Responsibilities:- Assess individual patient needs and plan/implement care appropriate to their needs
- Appropriately assess patient safety risk and implement care plans to mitigate risks in the context of the PTF
- Maintain accurate comprehensive and timely documentation of patient care
- Restock medical consumables and be responsible for daily medical equipment checking/medication checking
- Support the Flight Nurse team to meet doors closed times, and load/unload patients from the aircraft
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Registration or eligibility for Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- A current practicing certificate (or eligible to hold) with 5 years of acute care nursing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as applied to a healthcare setting
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus attractive relocation support and generous annual salary packaging options.
