A challenging and rewarding role has become available for a skilled SMP Estimator to join a well-established company in Villawood, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing estimation and reviewing contracts for various large projects across NSW.

  • 5+ years of experience in SMP Estimation
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Villawood, NSW

A typical day for this role involves reviewing project plans and specifications, developing and reviewing estimates, converting enquiries into sales, negotiating project agreements, meeting with project managers, engineers, and vendors, estimating costs using specialized software, negotiating rates with vendors and suppliers, reviewing and updating cost estimates, attending meetings with stakeholders, and summarizing progress and preparing for the next day.

The company is a leading Australian steel fabrication, installation, and welding resource supply company with over 36 years of experience in providing first-class fabrication, major project, and resource provision services to various industries across Australia.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in SMP Estimation
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong work history, with a proven ability to develop business relationships with decision makers
  • Well-established industry networks and contacts throughout the plant construction or similar industry
  • Great written and communication skills
