Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team in Bulimba. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience.

This role offers flexibility, with 15-38 hours per week available on a casual/part-time/full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist with Best Practice software and possess outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all phone calls and patients, ensuring a warm first impression.
  • Maintaining and adhering to confidentiality requirements.
  • A sound knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the front desk including booking, billing and invoicing.
  • Patient Triage.
  • Assisting patients with enquires.
  • Opening and Closing of clinic.
  • Liaising with doctors, nurses and patients.
  • Scanning and sending medical records.
  • Stocking doctors rooms.
  • Basic cleaning duties.
  • General trouble shooting skills of Telephone system, Internet, printers and other clinical equipment.
Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Receptionist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing patient information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Handling phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Providing administrative support to doctors and nurses.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist with Best Practice software.
  • Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliability and commitment to providing excellent patient care.
