Lead Data Scientist, AI/ML

At Aviva, we're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead our AI/ML initiatives and drive business insight. As a key member of our team, you'll design and develop scalable frameworks with AI/ML models to optimize operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement AI/ML models to drive business insight and optimize operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build productionized solutions and bring state-of-the-art machine learning to our general insurance business.
  • Partner with colleagues to identify opportunities to apply AI and make a difference to real business problems.
  • Share knowledge and expertise to enable the growth of our team.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree or post-graduate level in a numerate/programming-oriented subject, or equivalent knowledge through industry experience.
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, Spark, and SQL-like languages.
  • Experience with Snowflake or Dataiku for MLOps and ETL.
  • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and indicators of model accuracy.
  • Collaboration with data engineering colleagues to improve ETL and data pipelines.
