Accounting Career Development Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our accounting team and gain real-world experience in the field. As a consultant in the Business & Private Client Advisory Division, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in determining taxable income for sole traders, GST payable/refundable for clients, and input tax credits.

This is a fantastic chance to learn from experienced professionals and gain practical experience in a supportive environment. You will apply your knowledge to real-world problems, develop deep insights into what it's like to work at an accounting firm, and earn a digital badge and certificate upon completion.

Program Overview

This self-paced program takes approximately 3-5 hours to complete and is free for all students. The program consists of four modules:

  • Module 1: Taxable Income - Sole Trader (approx. 1-2 hours)
  • Module 2: GST (approx. 45 minutes-1.5 hours)
  • Module 3: Taxable Income - Individual (approx. 30 minutes-1 hour)
  • Module 4: Input Tax Credit (approx. 30 minutes-1 hour)

Each module is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and opportunities to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. By the end of the program, you will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts and principles involved in accounting and taxation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices. You should also be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
