Disability Support Specialist

CHG Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to participants during weekdays, including morning and afternoon shifts.
- Social Support: Facilitate social interactions and community connections for participants.
- Care and Assistance: Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, gardening, and domestic assistance.
- Transportation: Safely transport participants to appointments and activities.
- Experience: Previous experience as a support worker or similar (not essential but preferred).
- Work Rights: Possess valid work rights in Australia (permanent resident or citizen).
- Certifications: Hold NDIS worker screening clearance (or police check if waiting for screening clearance), Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR Certificate, and a current Drivers Licence (P2 or above) with access to a reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance (preferred).
