Employment Type: ABN Subcontractor

**Salary**:
Monday to Friday
- $38 per hour

Saturday
- $48.00 per hour

Sunday
- $58.00 per hour

Public Holiday
- $75 per hour

$0.80c per Kilometre travelled.

Shift Hours:
Day shifts
- 4-6 hours vary between 6am-6pm

Dinner Shifts
- 2-3 hours vary between 3pm-9pm

Sleepovers
- 12 hours Occasionally

Potentially
- 24 hour care

**Responsibilities**:
Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and transportation.

Promote independence and assist clients in developing essential life skills.

Create and implement personalised care plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each client are met.

Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and personal growth.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations, to ensure holistic care and support.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress, activities, and incidents.

Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and building trust.

Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing disability support services.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Disability Support Worker or in a related field.

A genuine passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a commitment to providing person-centred care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt to various client needs and personalities.

Knowledge of relevant disability support practices, including behaviour management strategies and safeguarding protocols.

Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.

**Requirements**:
ABN

First Aid and CPR certification

Valid driver's license

Own Vehicle

Comprehensive car insurance

Public liability and Professional indemnity insurance

Police clearance

NDIS Workers Check
- Employer ID is required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Subcontract

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

**Experience**:

- support worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
- Public liability insurance (required)
- Car insurance (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Tweed Heads, NSW 2485 (required)
