Senior Medical Project Specialist

This role requires a senior project specialist to oversee the General and Acute Care Medicine Flexible Approach to Training in Expanded Settings (FATES) project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all deliverables within set timelines.
  • Document and describe RACP GACM accredited training sites and positions across Australia.
  • Identify and document the medical workforce filling accredited GACM Advanced Physician Training (APT) roles throughout Australia.
  • Develop and describe specialist medical workforce delivering General Medicine clinical services nationwide.
  • Lead consultation and renewal of GACM APT accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with existing national and local projects to enhance growth and improve end-to-end training in Regional Rural and Remote locations for specialist General Physicians.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar scope and responsibilities.
  • High-level project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies.
  • Capacity to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing reports and communications within prescribed guidelines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated administrative, organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel Australia-wide if necessary.
  • IT capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms.
  • Experience working with health service providers and/or knowledge of the healthcare environment in Australia.
