Overview

The Role
This position involves providing specialist care in Rheumatology as a Staff Specialist. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing outpatient consultations to public patients across Northern Tasmania.
  • Offering specialist advice to inpatient units as required.
  • Being involved in research and quality improvement activities, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Supervision and support provided from the Rheumatology Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital.


Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Holds specialist registration.
  • Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway.
  • Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.

  • Subject to approval, 35% of Base salary plus on-call, pro rata, of additional payment from PPS, or 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary if not admitted to the PPS.
