Key Responsibilities- Emergency Response: Respond to fire and other emergency incidents in a safe and effective manner, working as part of a team to protect people and property.
- Community Safety: Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities and providing information to the public.
- Training and Development: Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities, contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.
- Reporting and Administration: Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents and activities.
- Employer's Consent: Obtain the employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
- Residency: Live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
- Australian Citizenship: Hold Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Driver's Licence: Possess a Manual C Class driver's licence.
