Facilities Technician Role in Sydney

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is eager to contribute to the maintenance of our fitness clubs.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance tasks around the club, including repairing equipment, painting, and building. You will also be required to ensure that all logged maintenance jobs are completed in a timely manner and document any maintenance records or hazards identified.

This is a fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same. You will attend assigned clubs to complete priority-based maintenance jobs, fixing gym equipment and addressing any issues as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter who can thrive in a physically demanding environment. You should have effective communication skills, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, and be comfortable working autonomously.

You will be responsible for coordinating with external contractors and managing your workload effectively. A passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Facilities/Maintenance Technician, with a background in maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as Jira. An Australian driver's license and clean driving record are also essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general maintenance tasks around the club, including repairing equipment, painting, and building.
  • Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Document any maintenance records or hazards identified.
  • Coordinate with external contractors.
