Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Psychologist to join our team at the New York State government. As an Associate Psychologist, you will provide professional psychological services under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat individuals, families, or groups in a clinical setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including behavioral technology and other specialized psychological interventions
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy, as well as crisis intervention and consultation to other agencies
- Supervise psychological services provided by clinical staff and evaluate information from mental health units, probation, parole, and district attorneys' offices
- Assist in determining the need for admission to a secure treatment facility or release to strict and intensive community supervision and treatment
- Develop, review, and oversee behavior management plans and/or treatment plans
- Develop and conduct psychology-related training for all levels of direct care and clinical staff
- Doctoral degree in a clinical field of psychology
- One year of experience under the supervision of a licensed psychologist in a clinical setting, or a one-year, full-time pre-doctoral clinical internship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality services to clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position requires working in a clinical setting, which may involve exposure to traumatic or disturbing information. The successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
