Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the New York State Department of Mental Health. As an Associate Psychologist, you will provide professional psychological services under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and treatment services to individuals, families, and groups in a clinical setting.
- Develop and implement psychological treatment plans, including behavioral technology and other specialized interventions.
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Assist in determining the need for admission to a secure treatment facility or release to strict and intensive community supervision and treatment.
- Develop and review behavior management plans and/or treatment plans.
- Supervise psychological services provided by clinical staff.
To be eligible for appointment, you must have a doctoral degree in a clinical field of psychology and one year of experience under the supervision of a licensed psychologist in a clinical setting. You must also be able to bill through Medicare and Medicaid.
Additionally, you must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists.
Working ConditionsThis position requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment with a high level of autonomy. You must be able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
You may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
