Occupational Therapist

Alfred Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a permanent capacity on the 5 West Trauma and Orthopaedics ward.
We are a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education, providing a range of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality rehabilitation services focused on early return to occupational performance and support complex discharge planning.
- Work collaboratively with the occupational therapy team to deliver a contemporary Allied Health model of care across a seven day service.
- Manage a caseload of complex trauma, orthopaedics and neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries.
- Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants and/or undergraduate students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent.
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership).
- Minimum three years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Clinical experience and knowledge of client-centred, occupational service delivery in an acute or rehab setting.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice.
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability in both clinical service provision and interactions with the team.
