The Tasmania Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Allied Health Professional to fill the position of Lead Practitioner in the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level clinical leadership to the CYMHS team, including the development and implementation of treatment programs and the provision of complex case management and assessment services.
  • Work collaboratively with other clinicians and stakeholders to deliver high-quality mental health services to young people and their families.
  • Lead and manage a team of allied health professionals, providing guidance, support, and consultation as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, schools, and other government agencies.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional association or board.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or a related field.
  • Training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Current Driver's Licence.
