About the Role:

This is a casual position supporting Uniting's playgroups in Sydney Southwest, providing care and support to children 0-5 years. As a Children's Worker, you'll work with families to promote children's development and transition into formal learning.

About the Opportunity:

As a Children's Worker for our Supported Playgroup - School Readiness Program, you'll collaborate with our team at the Cabramatta Multicultural Family Centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting engaging activities for children and families.
  • Leading group sessions and assisting with setup and cleanup.
  • Supporting children's transition to formal schooling.
  • Conducting child assessments and referrals.
  • Collaborating with parents and caregivers.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working with young children.
  • A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
  • A reliable driver's license.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
