Geriatric Care Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Geriatric Care Team.
The successful candidate will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in undertaking ward management responsibilities, including performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and attendance management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved
- Budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting, and adherence to resource allocation
- Assisting and supporting the NUM or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities
- Participating in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experiences, and goal setting for students, new staff, and staff with less experience
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet set timelines, while working under minimal supervision
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
- Demonstrated competence in rehabilitation and geriatric nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
