Job Title: Mobile Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer to join our Digital Platforms team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and releasing our iOS and Android apps using React Native.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable code for our mobile apps.
  • Own the quality of our mobile apps through testing, test automation, and observability to ensure operational reliability and performance.
  • Analyse business requirements and problem-solve to create the right solutions for our customers.
  • Participate in code reviews with other engineers to provide feedback and ensure we maintain quality, standards, and compliance.
  • Maintain and improve our documentation across code bases, architectures, and knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional Product Management and Engineering teams to plan and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience building, testing, and releasing mobile apps.
  • Strong experience in software testing from unit tests and UI tests.
  • Experience in building apps for online and offline, utilising APIs, real-time push notifications, and consuming native APIs.
  • AWS cloud experience.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling and practices valuing a DevOps culture.
  • Experience working with Google Firebase.
  • Maintain compliance posture across systems.
  • Experience with observability tools, such as New Relic, and feature flagging tools, such as Launch Darkly.
