At FCM Travel, we're on a mission to 'open up the world for those who want to see.' As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and releasing our iOS and Android apps using React Native.

About the Role

  • Design and develop efficient, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on solving problems and improving our solutions.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional Product Management and Engineering teams to plan and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Take initiative to improve the quality of our solutions, code bases, technical debt, standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure we maintain quality, standards, meet requirements, and compliance.
  • Research technologies and trends to contribute to our solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience building, testing, and releasing mobile apps.
  • Strong experience in software testing from unit tests and UI tests.
  • Experience in building apps for online and offline, utilizing APIs, real-time push notifications, and consuming native APIs.
  • Experience in React Native ecosystems like Hooks, State management (Redux, etc.), and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience in software development, with recent experience in building iOS or Android mobile applications and React Native.
  • Experience working with Analytics/Marketing tools.
  • Leadership skills to foster a culture of mentorship and collaboration.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with DevOps tooling and practices, valuing a DevOps culture.
  • Experience working with Google Firebase, Analytics, and SFMC.
  • Maintain compliance posture across systems.
  • Experience with observability tools, such as New Relic, and feature flagging tools, such as Launch Darkly.
  • Passion for open source and developer tools.
  • Understanding or experience in Swift and Java/Kotlin frameworks.
