About the Role:

The Department of Home Affairs is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its Service Delivery & Transformation Division (SDTD). The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a prosperous, secure and united Australian society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial management and analysis support for major transformation programs.
  • Develop and maintain budget reports, forecasts and other financial documents.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and funding proposals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department, broader government and industry to deliver products and services to visa clients, citizens and travellers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial management and analysis, preferably in a government or public sector context.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
