Job Title: Social Worker Inpatient Care Professional
About the Job
This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide psychosocial care and support to patients in an inpatient setting. The role requires strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in social work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). A demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to Inpatient Social Work is also required.
Detailed knowledge of the psychosocial issues that arise for patients and their families during chronic and acute illness and trauma is essential. Experience in providing psychosocial assessments and crisis management within person-centered, trauma-informed, and brief intervention models is also highly desirable.
