Job Title: Caregiver Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and care to individuals in need, assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To communicate effectively with clients, identifying their needs and providing personalized care.
  • To assist with household duties, including laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, gardening, shopping, and supporting clients in their interests and hobbies.
  • To assist clients with personal care needs, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • To maintain confidentiality and respect client boundaries.
  • To work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, other caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification.
  • Current driving license.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in disability, community, or acute care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to remain patient and calm under pressure.
  • Compassionate approach, flexibility in working hours and conditions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, minimal supervision required.
  • High level of trust and honesty.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, adaptability to different conditions and cases.
