About the Role

We are currently seeking a Trade Assistant to join our team, working on hydraulic parts for underground coal mining machines specifically longwall mining machines.

This is an immediate start opportunity, with ongoing long term positions available and the potential for full time employment in the future.

  • This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with their work and performing general yard maintenance tasks.
  • Other responsibilities include operating hand held power tools, using a forklift and moving materials and equipment as well as performing manual handling duties and general labouring tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will need a White Card, a Full Drivers License and own transport (yard not accessible by public transport). A Forklift License or willingness to obtain necessary tickets is also required. Experience with hand held tools and physical work is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist skilled tradespeople with their work.
  2. Perform general yard maintenance tasks including keeping the site clean and organised.
  3. Operate hand held power tools and use a forklift and move materials and equipment.
  4. Perform manual handling duties and general labouring tasks.

The ideal candidate will be willing to consistently work safely and be open to learning new skills.
