Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of complex engineering solutions across large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mechanical design and commissioning, equipment selection and specification, process optimisation, construction support, and risk management aligned with WHS and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight of mechanical design and installation
  • Collaborate on bids and tenders, reviewing documentation and refining cost estimates
  • Work with procurement teams to define scopes and coordinate vendor engagement
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a key technical liaison
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive innovation and ensure successful project outcomes
About You:

You will ideally be a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline), and have:

  • Proven leadership in mechanical design for water/wastewater treatment projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with digital engineering platforms (e.g. BIM/Revit)
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent technical writing and organisational skills
  • A passion for mentoring and team development
