Volunteer Role Overview

Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity where you can make a positive impact and have some fun along the way? Our team is seeking enthusiastic individuals who want to contribute to their community, put their life skills into action or even gain some new skills and experiences.

As a Shop Volunteer, you will be part of a dynamic team that works together to provide excellent customer service, process transactions, sort and price donations, create vibrant displays to attract shoppers, and keep the shop clean and tidy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming and engaging customers
  • Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • Following all shop processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Sociable and engaging with others
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and willing to do any of the shop tasks
  • Commitment to your nominated shift

  • You must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16)
  • Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
  • You will also be required to complete an Induction into our organisation and Retail program
