Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to conduct daily magnetic resonance imaging procedures with precision and efficiency. Effective collaboration with other team members ensures seamless workflow in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient screening for MRI procedures
  • Clear explanation of procedures to patients, accompanied by orientation to scanners and communication devices
  • Provision of support and anti-claustrophobic techniques as necessary
  • Application of current theories and research in delivering care consistent with hospital vision and values
  • Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards and promotion of a safe work environment

Education and Qualifications:

  • MR technologist certification is mandatory
  • Current registration with CMRITO is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to excellence and accountability
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
  • Good physical health and fitness suitable for the demands of the position
