Job Title: APS5 Finance Officer

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled APS5 Finance Officer to support various activities in finance, procurement, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Prepare the end-of-month accrual pack.
  • Reconcile and receipt monies received.
  • Coordinate, reconcile, and invoice services to stakeholders, handling vendor and customer account inquiries.
  • Pay Board of Management sitting fees and travel allowance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience using departmental financial systems, including SAP and TechOne.
  • Understanding of the Australian Government's procurement process, aligning with relevant legislation (PGPA Act) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, monitor workflows, and maintain high standards.
  • Capacity to evaluate issues, identify business improvements, and use judgment when dealing with complex problems or sensitive issues.
