Leading Vocational Education and Training (VET) Program Coordinator Job Description

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a dedicated educational leader to join the senior leadership team as a VET program coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing pathway planning for students to achieve their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)
  • Leading, managing, and planning aspects of VET, workplace learning, university enabling programs, endorsed programs, and other training-related curriculum programs
  • Collaborating with the Deputy Principal of Senior School and the VET and Careers Team
  • Providing professional leadership of VET staff and analyzing student performance data for planning purposes
  • Responsible for the annual reflection, review, and operational planning cycle for this business area

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading staff within a VET team and preferably oversight of workplace learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional knowledge to ensure strong educational outcomes for all students
  • Capacity to manage physical and financial resources
