This position is ideal for a diligent professional passionate about promoting health and safety, eager to apply their expertise within our growing team.
The successful candidate will bring their knowledge and experience from the construction industry to effectively contribute to our health, safety, and environment culture and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert advice and support to project teams on health, safety, and environment matters
- Conducting regular health, safety, and environment audits, inspections, investigations, training sessions, and awareness programs
- Ensuring adherence to established health, safety, and environment standards and implementing strategies to improve performance
- Assisting with the implementation of the health, safety, and environment management system and maintaining relevant registers
- Understanding and enforcing client-specific safety standards and policies
Qualifications and Skills:
You should have 3+ years' experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or higher
Strong understanding and working knowledge of applicable Australian health, safety, and environment legislation, standards, and codes
Demonstrated ability in advanced written and verbal communication skills
A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
