Your Salary and Benefits

You will enjoy attractive hourly rates plus penalty rates on overtime, ranging from $30-$45 per hour, depending on your experience. This permanent full-time position comes with a Monday to Friday roster and a 6am start time. You will also have access to our brand new DAF truck and FWR trailer.

This role is based in Kingston and operates from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, including inner Brisbane city. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you are often the face of Coates Hire and require exceptional customer service and professionalism, as well as working to tight deadlines and ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Safe, professional, and timely delivery/pick up of equipment to and from various site locations.
  • Effectively secure freight load to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment storage and location to ensure efficient retrieval.
  • Operate a heavy vehicle truck with an onboard heavy lift crane (10 Metre Tonne).
  • Operate and manoeuvre equipment on and off a Dog trailer with ramps, such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
  • Perform general yard duties to ensure an organised and safe yard.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid HC license.
  • Requires a CV licence (heavy lift Crane).
  • Experience loading and unloading equipment using correct restraint.
  • A clean driving record and a commitment to the importance of safety – you are an expert on the chain of responsibility.
  • Reliable customer service skills.
  • Good technology skills.
  • Machine experience preferred but not essential.
