Support Service Specialist

We are seeking a Support Service Specialist to join our team in the Northern River area.

The successful candidate will provide support services to individuals and families, including domestic assistance, personal care, and community connection. This is a permanent part-time contract with a minimum of 10 guaranteed hours per fortnight, which will increase as we build your roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domestic assistance such as housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, and personal administration (e.g. shopping, banking, paying bills)
  • Support customers with personal care, such as bathing, toileting, grooming and hoisting (this includes customers with high care needs)
  • Support customers stay connected to their communities (appointments and activities, family and friends)
  • Think outside the box by finding creative solutions to challenges

We offer on-the-job training and buddy shifts to help you pick up all the skills you need.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (important for the role)
  • A NDIS Worker Screening check (or be ready to get one)
  • A positive attitude and creative thinking
  • Flexibility to work different shifts
  • Experience helping individuals and families (would be great)
  • Qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (also would be great)
