Job Description

Direct Personnel Services is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Recruitment Consultant - Labour Hire to join our Newcastle-based team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building relationships with clients and candidates, sourcing and qualifying potential candidates, and managing the recruitment process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Candidate Management: Source and qualify potential candidates through phone screens and interviews, and manage your own and other consultant's calendars to fill open jobs.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, company culture, processes, and WHS standards and requirements.
  • Recruitment Process: Facilitate engaging face-to-face and Microsoft Teams interviews, perform reference checks and employment verifications, and manage and update our candidate database efficiently.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop and implement sales strategies, and maintain a strong understanding of the local labour hire market.
Requirements:
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in volume recruitment or labour hire, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and candidates.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management ability, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively within a small team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a solutions-focused mindset.
