About the Role

The Mental Health Team is seeking a Therapy Support Specialist to provide urgent mental health assessments and interventions for adults in crisis.

This role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop care plans and coordinate referrals. The successful applicant will have strong assessment and intervention skills, as well as experience in acute or community mental health settings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
  • Delivering trauma-informed therapeutic support to individuals in crisis

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling) and registration with AHPRA/AASW
  • Experience in acute or community mental health settings
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
