Lead Environmental Consultant - Brisbane

As a leading professional in environmental consulting, you will join a highly technical team in Brisbane that has all the ingredients for success.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in contaminated land and hydrogeology consulting, strong client communication skills, and credibility in front of Defence, Infrastructure, or mining clients.

  • Lead client relationships across Defence, Federal Infrastructure, and QLD Airport precincts
  • Be the point of contact for strategic new partnerships across mining, industry, and government
  • Guide delivery teams across PSI/DSI, remediation, PFAS, and hydrogeology programs
  • Shape local delivery approach and help align with the national offering
  • Partner with the Program Manager and Technical Director already in place
  • Step in where needed to mentor, steady the ship, and shape decisions
  • Future potential for Auditor Assist or QLD EPA Auditor status (if desired)

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a strong project lead and senior technical leader to steer the local direction. You will also collaborate with peers across a national network of 40+ professionals in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney.

The successful candidate will bring a calm, credible, and relationship-driven presence to build on everything that's already working. This is not about chasing Olympic contracts; instead, focus on long-term market share and capturing meaningful, complex projects left behind in the frenzy.

About the Role

This position involves providing strategic and client leadership for a five-person Brisbane team delivering high-end contaminated land and hydrogeology projects.

You will be responsible for guiding delivery teams across various programs, including PSI/DSI, remediation, PFAS, and hydrogeology, while shaping local delivery approaches and helping to align them with the national offering.

Additionally, you will partner with the Program Manager and Technical Director already in place, stepping in where needed to mentor, steady the ship, and shape decisions.
