The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill a full-time, fixed-term position as a Parental Leave cover in our Medical Imaging department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging and be able to work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments, cannulation, cardiac stress tests, and BMD scans in accordance with established standards.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to provide exceptional customer service and best practice interventional imaging procedures.
  • Assist Radiographers in setting up procedures, operating equipment, and administering drugs during CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Provide clear and concise information to patients about imaging procedures, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Respect patient requests for a confidante to be present during procedures and ensure compliance with all instructions.
  • Adhere to established standards for radiation protection and licensing, where applicable.
  • Seek guidance and support from appropriate clinicians as needed.

  • A competitive base salary ranging from $68,852 to $98,634 per annum, as per the Enterprise Agreement.
