About The RoleThe School of The University Of Notre Dame Australia seeks expressions of interest from academics who have a passion for teaching. Teaching opportunities are available on a sessional basis in the Tertiary Pathway Program (TPP). We are looking for sessional academic tutors with subject matter expertise in at least one or more of the following areas: Essential Maths, Human Biology, Research Skills, Academic Writing, and Communication Skills.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct teaching to the standard of the Pathways programs, including preparation for the tutorials and facilitating discussions to enhance student engagement.
- Consult with students in relation to pre-tutorial tasks, weekly topics, and upcoming assessments.
- Participate in assessment activities, including marking, moderation, and providing feedback to students within the prescribed timeframes.
- Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct, particularly the Staff Code of Conduct.
- Undertake Professional Development as arranged by the National Director of the Program.
- Provide a high level of pastoral care to students.
