Job Description

The Repairs Manager oversees and coordinates repair operations across a specified region, ensuring seamless execution of repair functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end repair offerings to drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive repair strategies in conjunction with service exchange initiatives.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer quote delivery, financial performance, job costs, and DIFOT metrics.
  • Lead a team of repairs coordinators, administrators, planners, and technical support coordinators.
  • Assist the ASEA Service Center Manager as needed, covering responsibilities during absences.
  • Identify new repair opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand market reach to drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain or develop standards, processes, and procedures within the repairs team, promoting standardization.
  • Nurture positive relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel is expected in this role, with varying volumes based on requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Commitment to workplace safety and fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Strong background in engineering, metallurgy, plant operations, or services to the mining industry in fixed plant settings.
  • Proven track record in managing repairs of large industrial mining equipment.
  • Solid sales/business development experience within the region.
  • Good understanding of mining operations and the importance of plant availability and planned maintenance.
  • Experience working with customers to align FLS plant and equipment provision through optimisation and digitisation.
  • Financial acumen and cost consciousness with demonstrated cost-effective practices.
  • Excellent commercial knowledge, communication, and high-level negotiation and influencing skills while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to deliver results in fast-paced environments, maintaining attention to detail.
  • Logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills with emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
  • Capacity to analyse regional mining footprints and understand geopolitical and market forces.
