Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security professional to lead our Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation program.

  • This is a key leadership role requiring strong expertise in creating security documentation and conducting compliance assessments.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Commonwealth Government security frameworks and proven experience leading cybersecurity teams.

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract with extensions, based in Canberra, for Australian Citizens only. Baseline clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation program under the guidance of ITSA.
  • Develop ICT systems Certification and Accreditation documentation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering cybersecurity awareness and skills development.
  • Support stakeholder engagement through executive reporting, risk assessments, and compliance updates.
  • Develop and refine Cybersecurity GRC frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a cybersecurity leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in creating security documentation and conducting Essential Eight-compliant security assessments.
  • Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams, implementing security controls, compliance measures, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with government regulations.
