About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer I to join our team at API Delevan, Inc. as a Technical Solutions Specialist. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with our product development teams to ensure that our products meet the technical specifications and requirements of our customers.
  • Provide technical support and training to our sales and marketing teams to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge to effectively communicate with our customers.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and identification through corrective action authorization (8D analysis) and customer communication.
  • Support and approve product changes and provide technical product analysis to the plant for specific projects or customers.
  • Work with manufacturing, sourcing, and design teams on cost-savings ideas for motor solutions products, creating a funnel of ideas for implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics or equivalent related experience.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Organizational skills, results and performance oriented.
  • Relationship and team building skills with high level of integrity and energy.
  • Technical knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills amongst global and cross functional teams.
  • Quick learner, self-directed, team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience.
  • Design for Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certified.
  • Commercial Motors product knowledge, strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Experience with the application and testing of permanent magnet motors, and/or electronics.
