Cancer Care Laboratory Specialist

About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in providing technical support to the molecular pathology department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory duties, including specimen receipt and accessioning, handling histology slides and paraffin blocks for molecular studies, DNA/RNA extraction and quantitation, tissue microdissections, and tissue culture.
This is a challenging role that involves performing standard molecular assays, operating and maintaining equipment, and contributing to general laboratory duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to the molecular pathology department
- Performing laboratory duties, including specimen receipt and accessioning
- Handling histology slides and paraffin blocks for molecular studies
- Extraction and quantitation of DNA/RNA
- Tissue microdissections and tissue culture
- Operating and maintaining equipment
