We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Visitor Services Assistant to join our team at Rottnest Island Authority.

About the Role

As a Visitor Services Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service to visitors, assisting with hire transactions, and ensuring that our facilities and equipment are well-maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing superior sales and customer service to visitors
  • Resolving customer service issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Handling cash and accurately balancing takings using a retail Point of Sale or web-based booking system
  • Working in a high-pressure environment where physical fitness is a factor

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service in a busy tourism, recreation, or retail environment
  • Able to resolve customer service issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to handle cash and accurately balance takings using a retail Point of Sale or web-based booking system
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
