Supporting an Ageing Community

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to provide support to Sue, a friendly and happy individual living with Alzheimer's.

Sue requires assistance with simple tasks in the community-owned takeaway, engaging with customers, and actively participating in our social program.

The successful candidate will reside in Sue's home for 2-4 or up to 7 days at a time, providing active support rostered and capped at up to 8 hours of active support across each 24-hour period.

During their rostered days, the individual will have their own private room.

About This Role
  • Reside in Sue's home for extended periods
  • Active support is provided on a rostered basis, with a cap of 8 hours per day
  • A private room is available during rostered days
Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness
  • Relevant certificates or willingness to obtain (First Aid Certificate; NDIS Workers Screening; Working with Children's Check; Working with Vulnerable People Check)
  • Current Australian Driver's License, reliable Vehicle & a willingness to drive people to appointments etc
  • Elderly care experience and physical ability to assist with mobility if needed
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and genuine care for vulnerable people
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping & an 'everything in its place' mindset
