About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at KinCare. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Help with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating and independence.
  • Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Offer personal care, including assistance with mobility, therapy goals, and medication management.
  • Provide respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  • Transport customers to appointments and provide complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
